ODM Daily Devotional November 19, 2017  THE CHRIST   OF   THE   LORDBasic Scriptures: Acts 2: 22-42; Job 36:11

Oh thank God, it is another new day! The new emphasis in today’s Upper  Room  devotional encounter is Act 2:36: “ ... that God has made that same Jesus , who you have crucified , both Lord and Christ" Glory to God! Note: BOTH LORD AND CHRIST! Most of us do not have problems understanding the power of THE CHRIST - He saved us through His death on the cross . He was the Christ when he died, but the story does not end there. He also arose from the grave of the stone and that was when God made Jesus the Lord.

Our Daily Manna Devotional November 18, 2017 SACRIFICE YOUR WATER POT It was Dave Harvey who quipped: “Everything in the Scripture is either preparation for the gospel, presentation of the gospel, or participation in the gospel.”He was on target! Then I remember David McGee: “We should be more concerned with preaching the lost than pampering the saved.”Again he is on point; so true! No wonder years ago, a stranger asked a Christian painter: “What is your business?” His reply? “My business is to preach the gospel, but I paint houses to pay my expenses.”

Our Daily Manna Devotional November 21, 2017

Now I ask you, what is your business? Is it driving, buying and selling, teaching, plumbing, cooking, Pharmacy, Photography, Medicine, Engineering, Accounting, Administration, preaching as a profession, or preaching the gospel as a calling etc? Any job you are doing today will end someday. Only what is done for Christ will last! Let your evangelism altar receive fresh fire again as 2017 ends a…

Our Daily Manna Devotional November 21, 2017 TEARS: RAW MATERIALS FOR TRIUMPH! When I was a child and my grandmother died, I could not understand why my eyes were dry. But that night as my dad tried to lighten the wood with some tickling at bed time, my giggles turned to tears, to my horror and relief. So it came to no surprise to learn that researchers believe that crying and laughing came from the same part of the brain. our daily manna prayer points

Just as laughing has a health benefit (lowers blood pressure and boost the immune system), scientist are discovering that crying has as well! The survey cries out at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a private university in Daytona beach, Florida, U.S.A, SHOWING THAT 85% of women and 73% of men reported feeling better after crying. Tears enable self-discovery. Sometimes, we don’t even know we are upset till we cry. Apart from acting as a stress reliever sometimes, tears attract help from other people. People become milder and le…

Our Daily Manna Devotional November 22, 2017 JOHN ADAMS: AM NOT A ‘SPARE TYRE’

In the constitutions of most countries, the position of a vice president or a deputy governor of a State, is like that of a spare tyre of a vehicle The function of a spare tyre is to allow the journey to continue when the tyre bursts. However, the spare tyre becomes useless if the tyre does not burst throughout its many years of usage.

This seems to erroneously imply that vice presidents or deputy governors have no constitutional roles except what the president or governor assigns to them. There are therefore like hand bags, figureheads and glorified errand boys sentenced to agonizing years of permanent redundancy. A very prominent victim of this painful example was the deputy (vice) president of the USA in 1789, Mr. John Adams. No responsibility was assigned to him throughout his year tenure as VP. He later became president after George Washington! Aren’t you glad that in our constitution (the Word of Go…

After a major fire at an office complex that involved huge losses, the company chairman wrote to me and thanked God that none of the worker was harmed in the incident. Furthermore, he made the following statements: “If you have a little setback, we must rise again. This is the definition of success.” ALSO READ ODM Devotional November 19,2017

Our Daily Manna Devotional November 17, 2017 TAKE BACK THE FIRE OF OLDBasic Scripture Isaiah 52: 1-8

Wake, Awake, put on strength! The battle is hotter and the summer is nearly ended; yet the harvest is not accomplished.

And the Lord said, “Who will go for us?” The labourers are busy after temporary pursuits of vanity. Awake oh Zion! Take back the fire of old; the hot zeal and passion for the lost. Did you remember how years ago, you cried and prayed for souls in the night? Yea! The Lord shall heal you again! An atheist once thought aloud: ODM daily devotional November 17, 2017 “If truly, firmly, and consistently believe as millions say they do, that there is heaven and hell, Christianity should be to everything. I would cast earthly enjoyment as dross (rubbish), earthly cares as follies and earthly thoughts and feelings as vanities. Soul winning would be my first waking thought and my last image when sleep sinks me into unconsciousness.

Our Daily Manna Devotional November 16, 2017 WORLD VIGIL DAY: WAR AGAINST THE EVIL HORSE AND ITS RIDER!Basic Scripture: Exodus 15: 1-21

Vs. 19 of today’s Scripture says: “For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea.” Thus , the horse of Pharaoh was his source of power and confidence! When God wanted to paralyze Pharaoh, He “took off his chariot wheels…” (Ex. 14:25). In fact, Exodus 14:25 says that God “troubled the host of the Egyptians…” He removed their CHARIOT WHEELS! That means that God want to deal with that your full time enemies; He will give them full time trouble! ODM  Devotionals November 16, 2017

Pharaoh’s chariots were the best in the world then! They were his confidence and Jehovah attacked them! Yes, He will look at whatever that is giving your enemies the confidence to trouble you and He will deal with that thing today and tonight. Hear the audacious Apostle Paul: “Cut off” means to die! God is ready to cut off every evil horse…
