Our Daily Manna Devotional September 24 2017 THUS FAR… The words, “Thus far” in today’s scripture are like a hand pointing in the direction of the past. Whether it has been a journey of 100 years or 50, 40, 20, thus far has the Lord led us. Whether the last few months of the year has been full of wealth or financial battles, health challenges or good health, difficulties, trials or testimonies, joy or pain, losses, triumphs or even temporary defeat – thus far has the Lord helped us.

It could have been worse! Many have died since January! In this second half of the year, I want you to look back in gratitude and declare that no matter what, “thus far has the Lord helped me”. The word “THUS FAR” also points to the future! Someone who comes to a certain point and writes the words, “thus far” realizes that he/she has not yet arrived at the final destination, and the journey continues. Likewise, no matter how the last half of the year was, remember that the journey is not over! God is still…

Our Daily Manna Devotional September 22 2017 THE TWO BUCKETS: THERE IS ALWAYS HONEY IN EVERY LION The story is told of two buckets – one was an optimist (believes that good will always come out of bad) and the other a pessimist (believes that bad will always prevail in the end. “There has never been  a life as disappointing as mine,” said the empty bucket as it approached the well.  “I always come to the well empty.” But the second bucket said, “There has never been a happy life as mine” said the optimistic bucket. “I always leave the well full.”

One was seeing the negative, while the other was seeing the positive! Before then days of antibiotic, Robert Louis Stevenson, the great Scottish novelist and author of a book I used in my secondary school literature: “TREASURE ISLAND”, was bedridden with convulsion. But the disease did not block his positive view of life. Once, when his wife heard him coughing badly, she said to him: “I expect you still believe it’s a wonderful day. He looke…

Our Daily Manna Devotional September 23 2017 THERE IS HONEY IN EVERY LION: BE POSITIVE! A 92 year-old woman lost her husband of 70 years and she decided to move to a nursing home. Despite her age, she made up her mind that she woke up in the morning fully dressed by eight o’ clock with her hair fashionably curled and make-up perfectly applied. Just before she entered the nursing home, at the lobby, she was joking and was as excited as an eight year-old girl that had just been presented with a new puppy. Even when she was told that the rooms remaining were not so uncomfortable, hear her reply:

“That doesn’t have anything to do with it. Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my room or not does not depend on how the furniture are arranged. It’s how I arrange my mind. As I grew older, I already decided to love this place. I have a choice: I can spend every day in bed recounting the difficulty I have with the parts of my body that no longer work or get out of b…

Our Daily Manna Devotional September 20 2017 THE COACH DIED!
EVERY SUCCESS ATTRACTS NEW ENEMIES! Welcome to another encounter with the God that is MORE THAN ENOUGH! Some years ago, the world woke up to the shocking news of the death of the Chief Coach of the professional league Division One-bound Court of Appeal Football Club Nigeria.

HE WAS STRUCK DEAD BY THUNDER DURING TRAINING! The news was that the deceased, late Jimoh Lateef, was voted coach of the year and was just promoted to Division One before that thunder attack. Further news was that the late Jimoh Lateef had earlier lost his parents in a mysterious manner. He had also lost one of his three kids in another strange circumstance. A further mystery that the coach was hit alongside a man close to him but while the man survived, the coach died on the spot.
As the third quarter of this year 2017 moves on, God wants you to know that: Every success you record in life, attracts a new enemy! Heaven want you to know that: Each time God…

Our Daily Manna Devotional September 19 2017 THE MYSTERY SNAKE: VOMIT MY GLORY! It was a scene of shock and the bizarre, when a mystery snake was killed in Badagry area of Lagos State of Nigeria. The shocker was in the contents of the snake’s belly when it was killed. It contained names of 8 persons written on a piece o paper, 7 passport sized photograph of seven other persons and 3 black candles. The other mystery was that the snake refused to burn even inside a blazing fire, till a pastor was called to pray. Thank God for the Holy Ghost fire! And that was not the first time that such a mysterious snake had been killed.  What God is saying to a user of today’s devotional is that no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper! Indeed, there are many weapons being secretly fashioned in evil prayer houses and witchcraft covens! Indeed,  there are mysterious and unknown enemies because this world is a wicked place! A few years ago, I saw a name tied to a padlock on the top of a high very m…

Our Daily Manna Devotional September 18 2017 WHAT THE KING TOLD THE GYPSY A king ones met a gypsy  ( a member of a group of shepherds based in Europe who are actually Hindus) on horseback on the way home from a journey and the gypsy asked him: “On what account would you prefer to lose your kingship?” The king replied: “On account of wine or women and not because of money.” “Why” asked the gypsy and the king replied sharply: “Because losing my crown because of money will make me look like a thief.”

To the king, a thief is more intolerable than a drunk and flirt, but as far as God is concerned, on no account should you fall because no evil is intolerable than the other. Sin is sin and has no category! God want you to use today’s devotional to answer the questions: “What can make you fall? What is making you to fall?”
Hear Saint Augustine: “the man who lives according to God, owes a perfect hatred to evil men; not that he should hate the man on account o…

Our Daily Manna Devotional September 17 2017 O RAIN OF GRACE…In this second half of the year, the Lord want you to know that walking with Him and possessing your possession is by His GRACE alone. “By STRENGTH shall no man prevail” can also be interpreted to mean, “by BRAIN shall no man prevail” Yes! By HUMAN CONNECTION or effort shall no man prevail. Paul knew this and he boldly declared: I AM WHAT I AM BY THE GRACE OF GOD! Note this: All that you will ever be for yourself or for your God will come because of GRACE and not because you are so prayerful, connected or so holy!

These things are very necessary to sustain the GRACE of God that is shown to you, but they do not initiate that GRACE. Do you know that it is possible however, to frustrate that GRACE of God (Galatians 2: 21)? For example sin, careless livings, laziness in the spiritual things, etc, are GRACE FRUSTRATE RS while holiness, playfulness, fasting, etc, are GRACE MULTIPLIERS. BASIC SCRIPTURE: 2 CORINTHIANS 15: 1-13I decre…

Our Daily Manna Devotional September 16 2017 LORD, HIDE MY SECRETE FROM THEMToday’s Scripture Verse 8 States Loudly: “which none of the princes in this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” (KJV) That means God hid His formula and secret of taking back the lost glory of man from the claws of the wicked devil. That further means that God deliberately did not allow Satan to know His modus operandi of taking man from captivity.

If Satan had known, Jesus would never have died. He would not have allowed Jesus Christ to be killed. Instead he would have given Jesus Christ a 5- STAR TREATMENT! Likewise your God is the Ancient of Days and the God with seven eyes; the all-wise and the all-knowing God. He hides your promotion secret and your EVIDENCE formula from the devil and your wicked enemies.    BASIC SCRIPTURE: 1 CORINTHIANS 2: 1-13There are some secrets of your destiny that are only known to God and also hidden from you. That is why Satan always…
